Shirley Joanne Arnold

Shirley JoAnne Arnold, 84, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Memorial donations in Shirley’s name can be made to Hanson Hospice Center and to the Michiana Church of Christ in Dowagiac, where she was a member.

Shirley was born Nov. 20, 1937 in West Plains, Mo., the daughter of Cecil Lydia (Warren) and John Albert Blaylock. She married Robert Lee Arnold April 3, 1976 in Stevensville, and lovingly cared for their family. Shirley was employed by Benton Harbor public schools, working in the kitchen as the head cook.

Survivors include her son, Michael (Connie) Gray of Westerville, Ohio; her daughter, Laurie (Roger) Fryer of Stevensville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Bonnie Nichols of Joplin, Mo., and Judy (Roy) Disterheft of Eau Claire.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sherry Wagner; three brothers: Bill Gene, Ted and Gary Blaylock; and two sisters: Leona Coggins and Betty Durham.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
