Mary Elizabeth Weber, 80, of Benton Harbor, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, after a battle with dementia and cancer, at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Stevensville.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire. Memorials may be made to the church or American Cancer Society. Share messages online at www.bowermanfuneral.com.
Mary Beth was born Nov. 4, 1940, in Benton Harbor, to Andrew Dennis and Mary Jane (O’Neill) Kotyuk. She graduated from St. John’s High School and attended Twin Cities Community College. She worked in administration for the Berrien County Environmental Health Department. Following retirement, she enjoyed reading, her flower gardens and watching the birds on her feeders. She was overjoyed with the birth of her first great-grandchild, Emmett, who was born in June.
Mary Beth is survived by her husband, Melvin Allen Weber, whom she married June 11, 1960; daughter, Laura Jane (Richard) Carr of Sister Lakes; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Noel (Scott) Chenevare of Kalamazoo and Andrew James Carr of Kalamazoo; great-grandson, Emmett Dean Chenevare; three sisters: Kathleen (Donald) Doles of Syracuse, Ind., Sheila (Samuel) Pantelleria of Benton Harbor, and Patrice (Nick) Rose of St. Joseph; two brothers: Andrew (Sarah) Kotyuk of Hemet, Calif., and Rory Kotyuk of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.
