Judith Ann Coffeen, 77, a resident of Eau Claire for 46 years, died Thursday night, August 3, 2017, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, at Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire, where friends may gather beginning at noon. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus. Judith was born April 25, 1940, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Smith) Callaway. In addition to caring for her family, she was an elementary school teacher for Dowagiac Union Schools. She was a member of the Dowagiac Education Association, Michigan Education Association, National Education Association, and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor Elks. Her special likes included teaching (especially the Dowagiac community), camping, gardening, antiquing, and time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, David Coffeen; son, Ted Coffeen; daughters, Kelly (Mark) Gaddie and Karri (Rob Stauffer) Coffeen; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mary Lou (Michael) Rhowed and Sandy Kay Sech.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
