Joseph H. Fecho

Joseph H. Fecho, 57, died Thursday, October 24, 2019, at his home in Dowagiac.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, at the Indian Lake Fire Department. Online messages and memories may be shared at www.bowermanfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray expenses.

Joseph was born January 15, 1962, in Berrien Center, the son of Ralph and Bernice (Christy) Fecho. He was a volunteer fireman for departments in Eau Claire, Dowagiac, and Wayne Township, and he also served with the Dowagiac ambulance and Edwardsburg ambulance companies – for a total of almost 30 years. He also worked for several years at Lakeland Hospital in Niles.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Salmons) Fecho; sons, Ryan Reckers and Matthew Fecho (and his son coming soon, Lincoln Fecho), both of Dowagiac; daughter, Katherine Fecho (Thomas Lane) of Niles (and her children Bentley, Nathaniel, and Braelyn Lane); brother, Richard (Vicki) Fecho of Eau Claire; and sisters, Mary (Jeff) Zerrenner of Eau Claire and Nan Casler of Port Ritchie, Florida.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Maelene Salmons; his brother, Ronald Fecho; and his nephew, Nathan Zerrenner.
